Drying Off Milk DC

To assist the natural immune system of a dairy cow or farm animal to decrease milk supply for when you are wanting to dry cows off.  Drying off milk is a blend of homeopathic remedies that have an affinity with the mammary glands and is very useful in drying up the flow of milk in nursing cows and animals.

Ingredients: Lac can, Urtica urens

Can be used alongside organic production animals.  Check with your certifier.

Natural Pet is an NZ-owned and operated small business handmaking homeopathic remedies for animals. All our remedies have a shelf life of 5 years.

Available in a 200ml or 500ml bottle

All 500ml bottles come with a free 100ml spray bottle to dispense remedy into and for ease of use.

100ml spray bottles for ease of administration are available to purchase.

We use pharmaceutical grade plastic bottles, so they won't break and tamper proof lids so they won't come off in the bike carrier box or when out and about on the farm.

How to use

All Agripathics remedies come in liquid form, as we find this is the easiest way to administer.

You can treat a dairy cow or farm animal individually or at the herd level.

Individually

Homeopathic remedies are best administered on to a mucus membrane, for dairy cows this means either the nose or vulva.  When cows are in the dairy shed, the easiest way to administer is to spray on to the vulva.

I like to administer at least 3 times per milking - when the cow comes into the shed, when I put the cups on and again when I take the cups off.  I usually do 3-4 sprays as a single dose.  This allows her to have at least 5 minutes between doses and works really well at getting the amount needed into the cow to get an effective response.

For other farms animals, the remedy is best administered into mouth, food or water.

Herd Level

This is best done by putting into their water trough, so putting 1-2 capfuls in their drinking water means each time they drink they are getting dose.

Should be used for a minimum of 3 days prior to drying off.

How long will a bottle last:

Individual treatment: there are 750 single doses in a 200ml bottle and 1875 in a 500ml

Herd treatment: at 1 capful rate there are 40 doses per 200ml bottle and 72 per 500ml

All instructions on how much to use and duration are on the bottle.

Caution: If this preparation fails to alleviate the condition being treated the user should seek veterinary advice.
